We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:As a Technology Business Analyst within the Remediation Technology Team, this role will support the rapidly growing and changing requirements of the Remediation Portfolio Programmes. The role requires knowledge of the Remediation department wide policies and procedures to ensure change is delivered in line with the strategic plans of the department. End to end in sight of the Remediation process workflow is essential in supporting the business through technical expertise and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the department wide target operating model.
Comprehensive knowledge of the change life-cycle including system integration testing, through to implementation is essential. This will include ensuring updates to policies and producers are integrated and communicated as part of the change process, within the Technology and Business teams.
This role will interact directly with major stakeholders outside of Technology, including Programme Directors and Project Managers. Key aspect of the role will be to understand and interpret complex business requirements to implement solutions to meet Remediation project needs. Advanced and extensive analysis will be required to work though options with the business, to judge and support the best solution to deliver the workflow and configuration needed to achieve successful customer redress outcomes.
There will be a requirement to advise, guide and make recommendations to meet complex business requirements which will involve sophisticated solutions.The role requires a seasoned Business Analyst with previous proven experience of owning, managing and delivering change initiatives within a high demand Financial Industry environment. A high level of communication skills is needed, including interactive listening in order to negotiate with Technology Developers and Programme Directors/Managers to ensure the best changes are delivered within required timeframe and follow the overall strategy of the department..
What will you be doing?
• Work with business end users though the change process by conducting business workshops and producing detailed business specifications and design solutions.
• Partner with the business to understand current operational requirements, produce detailed requirements documentation, and undertake gap analysis across current business and operating model. This must be in line with the strategic decisions for the Remediation Portfolio, and as the author of the requirements take responsibility of aligning them to the overall strategy.
• Complete complex and detailed analysis on the workflow and data requires set out by the Project to support new solution designs and ways of working.
• Negotiate with the business to keep changes on track with requirements, ensuring limited/no scope creep to ensure delivery within the required timeline.
• Presenting functional specifications and solutions to Senior Programme Directors, Project Managers and other key Business Sponsors to gain business approval, highlighting commercial effectiveness of the change.
• Support and contribute to the Programmes and work streams in project planning and UAT planning
• Facilitate in resolving complex business design issues by defining standards and specifications around which others will operate and ensure that essential procedures are followed.
• Provide specialist, objective and analytical insight on all business change designs.
• Define, Design and Develop Test Plans and Test Scenarios for Remediation Technology Releases, to ensure testing is completed to a high standard
• Lead business change to understand the objectives and take responsibility for Test Plans and scenarios to cover key requirements as documented within the Business Requirements
• Execute Systems Integration Testing, identifying defects for resolution and executing 100% of test scenarios, additionally tailoring test execution depending on the risk profile of the release
• Analysing, writing reports & communicating results to colleagues & Senior Management
• Working closely and negotiating with Developers to ensure defects are correctly managed - classified, triaged, and fixed within required timelines.
• Provide assurance on SIT testing and suitability to hand over to User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the definition of solution acceptance criteria
• Oversight of end to end change process and point of contact throughout conception to implementation
• Interact with other Senior Business Analysts within Technology and the business to ensure the highest level of support is maintained, common issues overcome and collaborate to ensure the team are kept up to date with the latest changes.
• Working with other Business Analysts on the team, to ensure the strategic influence continues throughout their work product and they have a point of reference for any work challenges or blockers.What we’re looking for:
• Proven track record as a Business Analyst or Business SME in the relevant area.
• Strong analytical /interpersonal skills to work in a dynamic environment.
• Exposure to Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies ways of working
• Technical know how of SQL Server,.Net Technologies and eagerness to learn new technologies
Skills that will help you in the role:• Proven SME experience in Remediation activities across the Remediation Produce range-Desired but not mandatory
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis
• Business Analyst Certification -Good to have.
