      Summary

      Our Business Data Analysts play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing and are key to the success of the Optimization Team. They will need strong analytical abilities and communication skills to collaborate, educate, and advise internal and external departmental functions. They will wear many hats, and working in a fast-paced environment.

      This position can be based in Kent, WA or Wilsonville, OR.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Develop and deploy multiple dashboards with key business insights
      • Ad-hoc report generation to support multiple business teams
      • Gather and interpret existing or new datasets
      • Use applicable forms of data analysis to solve various business problems
      • Communicate analytical insights from reports, dashboard, or analysis to support planning measures
      • Kaizen/Project support as needed for data mining and/or interpretation
      • Serving as the technical point-of-contact for supported systems and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, support of report generation and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities
      • Analyze business processes for inefficiencies/inadequacies, and offer recommendations for improvement
      • Providing continuous communication of the practical implications of business decisions, issues and plans to business and project teams
      • Proficient in Columbia Distributing's business processes and applications
      • Continuously test applications and/or software
      • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned
      • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the company's core values at all times

      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, as well as SharePoint
      • Strong proficiency with Power BI or Tableau
      • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python or R

      Work Environment

      Work indoors in a sedentary office setting; occasional warehouse or external work required.

      Physical Demands

      • Lift/carry 20 lbs. repetitively and up to 20 lbs.
      • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp
      • Climb stairs

      Expected Hours of Work

      This is a full-time position. Typical working hours are Monday -- Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

      Travel

      Local travel only

      Required Education and Experience

      • High school diploma or GED required
      • Minimum of 18 years of age

      Preferred Education and Experience

      • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

      Compensation

      • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
