- Becoming an expert in our Energy & Infrastructure platform and operate as a “dot connector” internally
- Understanding Latham’s position in the market and the opportunity within it
- Building and driving the marketing strategy for the Industry Group with a focus on measurable impact
- Achieving fluency in our client base and supporting efforts to identify, pursue, and attain new business from new and existing clients
- Working collaboratively across teams on strategic projects
- Partnering with appropriate Brand & Communications Department colleagues to ensure coverage and publicity for successful matters, initiatives, and products
- Disseminating trends and relevant sector, market, and client trends internally
- Managing the operations of, supervising, mentoring, and developing the Energy & Infrastructure Business Development team
- Possess knowledge of core marketing principals including internal communications, public relations, seminar or event planning, branding, market research, competitive intelligence, credentials, and RFP response preparation
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including synthesizing and presenting research data to attorneys
- Possess the ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions
- Have knowledge of InterAction and Content Pilot
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible business development and marketing experience in legal or professional services
- A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or management experience

As a Business Development Associate Director – Energy & Infrastructure, you will work closely with the Industry Group Chairs and colleagues that oversee strategic products and regions to develop and execute strategies for the Energy & Infrastructure Industry Group. You will also be responsible for growing the firm’s key client accounts in the space as well as developing and maintaining client development best practices.Latham’s global Energy & Infrastructure Industry Group is comprised of attorneys across all disciplines of the firm that advise companies, private equity, and banks on the most innovative, complex deals and disputes. Our energy clients turn to Latham for our ability to see around corners and partner with them in achieving their commercial goals. While leading a global team, you will work with colleagues across business verticals to support the revenue generation of the firm by maintaining a singular focus on external and internal client service and leveraging our global perspective to connect-the-dots across the enterprise. Compensation & Benefits
Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also receive a generous and competitive total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $240,000 - $280,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
