      Baird Capital is seeking a motivated Business Development Coordinator to join its team, focusing on its Global Private Equity and Venture Capital Funds. We are seeking an individual who is highly driven and successful at managing multiple priorities and constituencies. This position is based in Chicago and supports both our business development and investment teams in our private equity and venture capital funds.       As a Business Development Coordinator, you will:

      • Manage scheduling and logistics for a large volume of external virtual and in person meetings with investment bankers and company owners for both the business development and investment teams. Includes preparing detailed itineraries and full day meeting schedules.

      • Coordinate & manage a dynamic daily team calendar for the business development and investment teams; tracking travel and external meetings to ensure proper coverage and execution of all meetings.

      • Maintain meeting notes, call records and files using a variety of tools such as Salesforce and Co-Pilot to preserve insights and accuracy.

      • Perform Word and Excel functions of moderate complexity.

      • Compose outreach emails, memos, and reports from verbal or written instructions.

      • Maintain and curate a calendar of industry conferences and events to ensure business development and investment teams have the proper coverage to maximize deal flow.

      • Use SourceScrub and other research tools to support business development and investment teams in direct calling campaigns on business owners in areas of interest.

      • Maintain externally facing marketing materials to facilitate proactive deal sourcing and intermediary coverage.

      • Monitor business development activity level, including lead generation and deal flow statistics.

      • Coordinate the team’s regular cadence of contact and follow-ups with key investment banking and deal sourcing contacts to ensure relationships are maintained.

      What we look for:

      • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 1-5 years’ experience performing support functions. Financial services, investment banking or private equity industry experience is helpful.

      • Exceptional organizational skills – is consistent, dependable and accurate. Ability to prioritize daily workflow to effectively meet deadlines.

      • Exceptional communication skills – ability to effectively exchange ideas and information or influence others with a high level of professionalism.

      • Must be detail oriented and recognize errors in numbers, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Must demonstrate good follow-through skills to ensure a successful result.

      • Strong team player mentality – willing to pitch in and help other team members and leaders as necessary. Flexible and highly adaptable.

      • Ability to tolerate peak workloads, to deal with frequent interruptions and to maintain flexibility and composure in a high volume, high-intensity environment.

      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision.

      • Excellent PC skills – Advanced knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and the ability to learn and utilize new tools. Experience utilizing pivot tables is helpful.

      Compensation Information:

      • $60-100k all-in inclusive of base salary and bonus expectations.

      • Discretionary bonus based on performance of Baird Capital and individual performance.

      *Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance, and/or office profitability
