- Proactively identify, develop, and maintain referral relationships with manufactured home dealers and builders to generate new mortgage opportunities.
- Site visits to local, state and national builder communities, manufactured home dealerships, and sales offices.
- Meet or exceed goals of onboarding at least 2 new business partners each month and securing a minimum of 8 loan referrals monthly.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions to adjust strategies and stay ahead of competitors.
- Present Cardinal Financial's products and services to potential partners in an engaging and compelling manner, aligning offerings with their business needs.
- Collaborate with the branch and internal teams to ensure a top-level client experience throughout the loan process, from initial engagement to closing.
- Work closely with the Retail Marketing Director to create innovative outreach strategies to attract new partners and retain existing ones.
- Drive organizational effectiveness by continuously improving referral partner engagement and the loan origination process.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Cardinal Financial, promoting the company's mission, values, and ethical standards to referral partners and potential clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in client relationship management, business development, or B2B sales, ideally within the builder or manufactured home industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-energy mortgage lender environment with a proven ability to develop referral relationships and close loans.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners, regardless of their background or industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing a referral network.
- Highly creative with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proficient in business tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Apps. Familiarity with CRM systems and mortgage software is a plus.

Who We Need:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) reports directly to the SVP, National Builder and is responsible for identifying and establishing strategic referral relationships with manufactured home dealers and home builders. The BDM will focus on growing a network of partners who will refer their customers to Cardinal Financial for their mortgage needs. The goal is to establish a minimum of 2 new referral relationships per month, leading to at least 8 loan submissions monthly each. The BDM will work collaboratively with internal teams to foster growth and ensure a smooth customer experience.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated, goal-oriented individual to contribute to the continued success of Cardinal Financial’s Builder division while growing their own professional network and impact. This is an outside sales position and will require a combination of local, regional and multistate travel within a designated territory ( Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, West ).
