      THE ROLE:

      We are seeking a Business Development Manager who will contribute to our ongoing success by unlocking new opportunities in our natural gas and NGL value chain. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Corporate Development, you will play a crucial role in originating and leading initiatives for PETRONAS across North America to enhance the value of our products. You will also be responsible for developing and managing infrastructure initiatives to meet our expanding production needs and accessing new markets towards the diversification of the marketing portfolio and improvement of revenues and netbacks. The role also requires close collaboration with other PETRONAS subsidiaries, providing valuable insights and support for gas supply logistics, integration of marketing efforts, and new energy opportunities development.

      HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

      • Leverage Petronas’ global presence and reputation for value creation, origination of new opportunities and driving the business forward
      • Develop strategies to enhance the Company’s long-term commercial plans and objectives
      • Collaborate closely with the marketing, planning, and midstream teams to address market and transportation challenges/opportunities
      • Develop and pursue new commercial opportunities designed to optimize netbacks and maximize commercial flexibility and optionality
      • Strategically devise and implement mitigation plans to reduce market risk and unutilized assets
      • Cultivate new markets for our products and originate long-term investment opportunities for PETRONAS.
      • Monitor and provide insightful reports on competitor activities
      • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions for potential Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D) opportunities
      • Track energy demand projects throughout Western Canada, with a particular focus on developing and maintain strong relationships with project developers
      • Take charge of leading, managing, and fostering the growth of the Business Development (BD) team members, inspiring excellence

      WHAT YOU BRING:

      • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as engineering, commerce, or finance
      • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial functions within the energy sector
      • Experience in the oil and gas industry is essential, with a strong preference for prior experience in an oil and gas production company
      • Comprehension and understanding of Western Canadian Gas and liquids markets
      • Exceptional analytical, complex problem solving and decision-making skills
      • Excellent leadership, consulting, interpersonal and team building skills
      • Outstanding judgment and the ability to identify priorities and emerging issues in a dynamic environment
      • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, prioritize and respond quickly to time-sensitive situations
      • Possess an exceptional skill in creating slide decks tailored to different audience levels and delivering compelling presentations to showcase opportunities
