      “A Day in the Life”

      As a Business Development Manager in our Custom Modular Solutions group, you will be an exciting part of a special focused team that develops major modular building projects using both permanent and semi-permanent solutions. As one of the largest nationwide providers of custom modular buildings, you will have a lot of opportunities to build success in the Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas region as your territory. You will get to work with the customer and internal construction team to build on our award-winning project solutions. You will interact with key staff to identify clients that have needs for our services and products, assist in making go/no-go decisions regarding proposals and strategies to go to market, assist the preconstruction team to prepare cost estimates and proposals, work with the construction team to manage the customer, follow-up with clients, attend trade shows, and perform other duties as assigned or instructed by the management team to help further drive the growth of the CMS team. You will be working as a team with our preconstruction and construction team that will support the project from Qualify to Contract and a Project Manager who will lead the project from Contract to Completion.

      “What You’ll Do”

      • Promote Mobile Modular Custom Modular Solutions to owners, developers, planners, architects, engineers and any appropriate sales lead by increasing brand awareness, prospecting and engaging existing and new clients, coordinating public relations efforts, attending and participating in trade shows, participating in professional and/or industry organizations.
      • Demonstrate and apply a complete understanding of all aspects of Modular Construction business necessary to build confidence in clientele.
      • Showcase our award-winning past project heritage to prospective customers.
      • Respond to the lead opportunities while identifying customers in your region.
      • Build and manage long-term relationships and partnerships with key and target clients.
      • Track projects, with consistent contact to project team members, from Qualify through Contract Award.
      • Attend meetings and conferences as primary point of contact with outside clients and vendors and subcontractors.
      • Partner with the Construction Manager to develop, prepare, coordinate and execute presentations and proposals to existing and new clients.
      • Once project is contracted, work with Project Manager to ensure Client’s goals are achieved.
      • Close clients to secure a contract for Mobile Modular.
      • Work with the Construction and Project Managers to ensure that the Clients expectations are regularly being met and monitor Owner satisfaction.
      • Perform market assessments, competitor analyses, and pricing strategies. Draw conclusions from market assessment data on the competitive environment and the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and targets, and provide advice to management.

      “Must Haves”

      • 5 or more years of experience in construction sales, estimating, or project management ; results driven.
      • Effective prospecting skills, prior sales experience and a strong orientation toward results.
      • Pursue everything with energy and drive. Successful record of accomplishment, exceeding goals and consistently a top performer.
      • Dedicated to exceeding expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, acts with the customer in mind.
      • Relate well to all types of people inside and outside the organization, builds rapport and effective relationships. Is a good listener and easy to approach and talk to.
      • Can negotiate skillfully to win concessions without damaging relationships. Can be direct as well as diplomatic, and gains trust of others.
      • Desire to become a leader in the Company, can deal comfortably with Senior Leadership.
      • Spend time on what is important, zeroes in on critical items to accomplish goals. Sets objectives and evaluates results. Use time effectively and efficiently on top priorities.
      • Capacity to function autonomously and as a team member.

      • Strong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office, Internet and other customer databases.
      • Call on customer, face to face, via phone and email to establish relationships and market the company.
      • Prior experience with high volume of projects/customers at once versus just a few large ones at a time.
      • Ability to travel by motor vehicle and/or airline within territory as needed.
      • Valid Driver's License

      “Nice to Haves”

      • BS/BA/BBA degree or equivalent years of sales experience
      • Modular building experience
      • Prior experience in construction or other related industries
      • Knowledge of SalesForce or similar CRM software
