      What You’ll Be Doing

      The Business Specialist will be accountable for the handling and accuracy of International Student Pay and International Student Banking Offer payments and must independently resolve complex issues and/or disputes with clients in a professionally manner, investigate reconciliation outages, engaging support from various groups (e.g. ASG, BCC, Client Care, Traders, AML, Corporate Security) as appropriate. The Specialist will also work in a team environment and will participate in project activities (requirements gathering, design feedback, and user acceptance testing).

      At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

      How You’ll Succeed

      • Facilitate Investigation and Reconciliation - Apply your previous experience in processing investigations, analyzing, and correcting issues and making recommending solutions at source to eliminate these issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

      • Coaching and Relationship Building - Coach junior staff to ensure they understand processes, procedures and the importance of customer service quality.

      • Use your extensive knowledge - Wire payment processing and Investigations is highly desirable. This includes expertise on COINS, CUP, GOW, ACH, WSS, PEGA - and in lending expertise on Fraud and AML escalations.

      • Work experience in accounting - Reconciling general ledger entries. Investigating general ledger outages. Building reconciliation processes/improving upon reconciliation processes
