      We’re currently looking for a Buyer 1 to join our team in Franklin, TN.

      Job Summary
      Responsible for a limited group of commodities, working closely with departmental experts to carry out sourcing and cost reductions. Analyzes data and provides recommendations on course of actions. Assists managers and buyers in their strategic development and gathering data to support the recommendation. Tracks and reports monthly on status of sourcing, cost reductions, process improvements, and other defined goals. Interfaces with other departments and suppliers to ensure necessary documents/data are in place to assist managers and buyers meet required actions. Validates data in system are accurate to assure correct reporting. Prepares presentations as required and assures done accurately and timely.

      Minimum Qualifications
      The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
      1. Job Knowledge and Skill:
      Good understanding of purchasing sourcing and cost reduction. Knowledge of vehicle development cycle helpful. Basic understanding of how a manufacturing environment operates. Strong personal skills in: effective communication (written and oral), attention to accuracy of work, takes feedback and adapts, solves problems without being told to, works well in own organization and with others, and is a constant learner.
      2. Experience:
      0-2 years of related experience in a professional business atmosphere.
      3. Education:
      Bachelor’s degree in a business major or related discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.
      4. Computer Skills:
      Working knowledge of excel, power point, word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
