      Buyer
      £52,000 - £58,000 depending on experience plus benefits including company car and annual incentive plan (Work Level 5)
      In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home, the Manchester office and visiting suppliers (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy)

      We’re looking for a motivated Buyer to join our team at Co-op, and help us to make sure that we’re providing our stores with the great products that our customers love. We’ll look to you to collaborate and build meaningful relationships with some really exciting suppliers within a high-profile category, gaining incredible exposure across the business as you go. You may take on line management responsibility for up to one junior buyer, and one buying assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your buying skills and gain valuable management experience.

      What you’ll do

      • Take responsibility for profit and loss for products within your designated category
      • Act as a key link between internal and external partners, building strong relationships
      • Manage the sales, margin and ranges for your category and take responsibility for a large P&L
      • Link in with various teams across the business to make sure that processes are running smoothly
      • Lead the supplier base to deliver core KPIs through a market leading sales plan
      • Make sure the category strategy is delivered as planned - on time and to budget by working collaboratively with your colleagues and suppliers
