For our Foundations department in Engineering within Business Unit Offshore Wind, we are looking for a

CAD Designer

to be part of our CAD team to provide our services to the whole engineering department.

Your job
\nAs our new CAD Designer you generate and maintain models, documentation and bills of material. Experience in parametric modelling and similar methods would be of great value. The wide product range, e.g. boat landing, air tight deck, platforms, motivate you to seek for standardization and synergies. Main focus lies with secondary structures, but will also include support of other business areas such as O&M, installation and logistics.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Creation of 3D and 2D models of assemblies and components based on specifications and sketches provided by the engineering team
• Good understanding of parametric modelling and efficient design
• Development and maintenance of bill of materials
• Contribute to product improvement, standardization and department improvement projects
• Defining and implementing procedures for CAD design which supports our high ambitions
• Prepare and maintain as-built documentation and 2D drawings of the final design

Qualifications

You have an educational background as CAD designer or engineer with a good understanding of structural design and several years of experience from a similar position. You have an innovative mind-set and can see yourself working in an environment where we value entrepreneurship, the pragmatic approach and helpfulness in our daily work. Conscientious and self-driven work mindset is one your major strength. You like to work in a competent team and you possess strong communication skills. The following specific qualifications are important for this position:

• Strong focus on quality and efficiency
• Experience in areas of manufacturing methods would be of advantage
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor
• You are fluent in English, both in speech and writing

You are a real team player, you are proactive, pragmatic, creative and you are able to work independently and manage your own work. You can handle pressure well with focus on several projects at the same time.
