- Cadet Training will occur in Milwaukee, WI
- Attendance is mandatory for all classes and orientations
- Attend orientations for both Bell and at LCFR
- All equipment provided by Bell
- NREMT date – June 9
- January 29th - May 16th
- 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday & Thursday
- Bell Orientation January 22nd - 24th from 8:30am - 5 pm
- LCFR orientation January 25th from 8:30am - 12:30pm
- Become certified in CPR and First Aid
- Observational rider with current BELL Ambulance Field Employees
- Classroom time learning State Protocols and Standards
- Represent the Company by being courteous, professional, and a patient advocate.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance while maintaining a courteous, professional, and ethical behavior while working cooperatively with other members of the health care system, co-workers, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned including those specific to the local operation.
- Regular attendance consistent with scheduled hours.
- Uses care and respect with all equipment and supplies.
- Become certified as a EMT-Basic
- Obtain knowledge of general medical care and treatment to patients in both emergent and non-emergent settings as defined by state and local regulatory agencies.
- Become knowledgeable about documentation pertinent to patient care (Patient Care Records, Supplies, Medicare Signature Forms, and PCS forms)
- Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with all appropriate OSHA standards, company policies and local standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that all required Certifications are current and remain current.
- Attend all Company required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory Company updates. Complete the training in the allotted time the Company sets.
- Maintain knowledge about job and medical field.
- Current state Driver's License in good standing with satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Bell's Driving Policy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.
- Other qualifications/certifications specific to the local operation and/or contract requirements.
- Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments/tests.
- High school diploma or GED required - Associates degree or clinical certification preferred
- Past training in Healthcare related fields, or Military experience is preferred but not necessary

About Us:
BELL Ambulance was started in 1977 and has grown to become the largest ambulance service in Wisconsin. We primarily serve Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, but long distance and prescheduled transports take us all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Additionally, we are a certified participant and contracted provider in the City of Milwaukee 911 system. We receive about 130,000 calls per year. We have nine locations in Milwaukee County and one in Waukesha County. We provide BLS, ALS, and Critical Care Services, and we currently have more than 600 people on our team.

Overview:
Position Summary
Classroom and Clinical settings in which EMT Intern/Trainees prepare for their EMT-B certification. Learn how to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed, and transport sick or injured persons to the appropriate medical facility and comply with appropriate state Department of Health Standards. The objective is to obtain an EMT-B certification at the end of the training.Responsibilities:
