      Job Description

      Calibration technician required to work within the Calibration department, as part of a small team.

      This role will be primarily for the calibration/service and upkeep of ASA engineer kits, in which you need to be customer focused and have a quality mindset to ensure that the service provided is of a high standard.

      The successful applicant would also be responsible for:

      • Carrying out calibration of all measuring equipment at Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd (Worcester & Clay Cross Plants) in line with Local & Corporate procedures
      • Operating and upkeep of all calibration records including measurement of uncertainty
      • Maintenance & raising of local calibration procedures
      • Responsible for the Maintenance and Development of all Test Instrumentation Calibration-Capability and Selection authorization as per Local & Corporate procedures
      • Other general projects or quality engineering duties as necessary.
      • Participate at the Continuous Improvement Process
      • Training of other QMM personnel, as and when necessary
      • To demonstrate respect when dealing with Internal and external personnel, and understanding the requirements in order to achieve the overall goal

      Qualifications

      • Previous Calibration Experience beneficial (ISO 17025 Knowledge beneficial)
      • Uncertainty of measurement - Advantageous
      • Computer literacy. (Microsoft Excel and office applications) Macro experience an advantage
      • To be able to work using own initiative
      • Highly self-motivated, ability to be able to work effectively as part of a team
      • Good written and verbal communication skills
      • 3 months training for basic duties
      • 6 to 12 months training for unsupervised competency
      • 12 months + training for expert range of skills and experience
      • Quality Mindset/Customer Focused
      • Attention to detail

      Working Hours: 39 hours a week; Mon – Thurs 08.00 - 17.00 and Fri 08.00 - 16.00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak
