What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Place and receive phone calls to/from patients to collect payment for medical expenses while offering solutions and negotiating repayment terms
- Collect demographic, insurance, and other relevant information from patients, accurately documenting it in internal technology platforms
- Engage in active listening with callers to confirm or clarify information and address concerns
- Educate patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs to enhance their financial well-being
- Adhere to department processes and procedures in compliance with industry laws and regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service capacity
- Minimum of 1 year of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth
- Basic understanding of contact center processes and techniques
- Exposure to collections industry, healthcare revenue cycle, and medical insurance and billing processes and terminology

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a contact center environment
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle terminology and practices
- Ability to diffuse upset patients effectively
- Previous training or coursework related to collections or customer service
