      Position Summary:

      u00A0
      Assist educator with the implementation of the Winter Break Science Camp Program.u00A0 Prepare and clean-up materials such as science supplies and craft utensils. Assist educator by leading small groups of campers in explorations in the GreenSchool and NYBG gardens as well as outdoor games and science investigations for up to 18 campers under the supervision of the educator.

      Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Participate in training and activity preparation prior to start of camps, TBD, weeknight evening in February, 4-6pm.
      • Open to learning new things and sharing enthusiasm for science and nature with campers
      • Assist Camp Educator with implementation of activities and lessons, including set-up, group facilitation and clean-up.
      • Help campers with daily tasks; i.e., participating in activities, helping campers keep track of personal items, and escorting small groups of campers to the bathroom
      • Outgoing and friendly with the Campers
      • Build strong relationships with Campers and Camp Educator

      Schedule: u00A0 STARTS week of February 10, 2025: includes actively participating in training, TBD weeknight in week of February10-14, 2025, 4-6pm and camp program, 2/17-2/21/25, 8:00am-4pm (2) OR 9:30am-5:30pm (2).

      Payrate: $16.50
