      First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Card Services Officer to join our Card Services Division team. In this role, you will assists with the administration and development of the finance area of the Card Services Division. Prepares, analyzes, reviews and/or assists in the preparation of various management, internal, regulatory, and other external reports. Utilizes division financial data to guide competing opportunities. guide decision-making, and optimize resource allocation.

      Analyzes data to establish internal metrics and insights to interpret historical trends and identify key factors that will influence future financial performance and support strategic direction of the division.

      Generates monthly and quarterly management reports for Consumer and Business credit/debit cards as well as commercial credit cards. This includes researching and analyzing data, providing variance explanations, distributing reports, and addressing related inquires.

      Oversees the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the division, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop projections and present them to leadership. This role involves acquiring a deep understanding of cards profitability drivers and unique accounting aspects relevant to this business line.

      Collaborates with controllers on general ledger (GL) reporting including overseeing the division financial reporting hierarchy, allocation methodologies, accrual reporting, and execution of GL entries.

      Manages financial reporting and compliance requirements by producing audit and control reports, preparing schedules for Mastercard, internal/ external auditors, and regulatory authorities. Tasks also include researching and assisting in the preparation of survey data for external parties.

      Creates, revises, and updates ad hoc reports for business leaders using Excel and/or creating data queries. Additionally, supports or conducts special projects as assigned by the division’s officers and managers.

      Compensation:

      The salary pay rate for this role is $70,000- $110,000 / per year; commensurate with experience.

      The ideal candidate will have:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent work experience required
      • 3 years of work professional experience in banking, finance, or accounting with a focus on financial reporting, performance metrics, data analysis, or equivalent experience required
      • Banking or accounting experience preferred
