Job Description
- Req#: R20227951
- Performing comprehensive telephonic patient assessment and following all Patient First Policies and Procedures;
- Following established clinical protocols/guidelines and providing appropriate patient instructions according to urgency of calls;
- Complete documentation of all communication with patients, physicians, staff, employer, or insurance companies in the patient medical record;
- Uses, protects, and discloses patient Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with Heath Insurance Portability and Accountability act (HIPAA) standards;
- Expediting emergency calls as needed;
- Helping develop new members of the nurse call center.
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- State license as a registered nurse in good standing;
- Clinical experience with Patient First a plus;
- Utilization review and call center experience a plus;
- Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (required);
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication, problem solving, facilitation and analytical skills.
