      Job summary

      • Are you ambitious and have an interest in caring for vulnerable adults? Would you like to earn up to £12.50 per hour within the first 12 to 18 months, and learn valuable specialised clinical skills in the process? Our fast-track Care Assistant programme is now open to new applicants, we provide all specialised training.

        • You will start as a Care Assistant and learn essential care skills in the first three months. At the end of that, you will obtain your Care Skills Certificate, which is recognised nationwide.
        • You will then learn how to care for patients with tracheostomies. Once training is completed and you are fully competent, your hourly rate will go up.
        • Finally, you will learn how to care for ventilated patients. Once training is completed and you are fully competent, your hourly rate will go up to £12.50 or probably more, as salaries are reviewed annually at Fairlie Healthcare

      Main duties of the job

      • Ensure the personal care needs of Residents are met and that assigned duties are executed in a professional and caring manner giving due regard to the Homes core values and values framework and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Health and Social Care Workers
      • Ensure documentation is completed in a timely fashion including personal care charts for Residents that reflect the care delivered and to escalate concerns regarding a Residents health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge at the earliest possible opportunity.
      • Complete other assigned tasks not directly related to care as, from time to time instructed to do so by the nurse in charge of the shift.
