      Title: Carrier Relations Specialist - National Operations

      Fully Remote

      About the Role:
      The Carrier Relations Specialist is an entry to mid-level role designed for a motivated professional looking to grow in the insurance industry. This position supports Carrier Relations in managing and optimizing relationships with our preferred insurance carriers. The ideal candidate is analytical, tech savvy, and strategic with a problem-solving mindset and a strong foundation in insurance. This role is a steppingstone to higher level positions in carrier relations, offering opportunities for career advancement.

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Manage Carrier Relationships: Assist in managing and strengthening relationships with insurance carriers to ensure alignment with carrier strategies and objectives.
      • Support Carrier Initiatives: Work closely with the manager to support initiatives that enhance carrier partnerships and improve outcomes.
      • Analyze Carrier Data: Analyze carrier performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
      • Develop Reports: Support the development, review, and dissemination of reports to key carrier partners.
      • Utilize Technology: Use technology and data tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in carrier relations.
      • Plan and Execute Projects: Assist with Carrier Relations initiatives, including annual goal planning and preparations for executive leaders attending industry events.
      • Enhance SharePoint Sites: Proactively suggest new or enhance existing Carrier Relations SharePoint sites to meet company needs.
      • Solve Operational Challenges: Identify operational challenges between the agency and carriers and suggest practical, tech-driven solutions.
      • Create Efficiency Tools: Develop tools, workflows, or systems to improve efficiency and collaboration with carrier partners.
      • Support Departmental Objectives: Work closely with the manager to support departmental objectives.
      • Seek Learning Opportunities: Proactively seek learning opportunities to deepen industry knowledge and support the long-term success of the Carrier Relations Practice.
      • Provide General Office Support: Perform general office support and administration tasks.
      • Back-Up Teammates: Provide back-up for teammates, ensuring overall team service excellence.
      • Participate in Professional Development: Engage in training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of administrative and customer service teams and/or new hires.
      • Maintain Professional Skills: Continuously improve professional skills by actively participating in development opportunities.
      • Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.


      Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
      • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the insurance industry, ideally in underwriting, account management, operations, or analytics
      • Bachelor's degree in business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field preferred.
      • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
      • Adaptable and collaborative, comfortable working across departments
      • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications
