What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review case files and write clear, concise, and impartial decisions based on evidence
- Make sound, independent decisions in accordance with statutes, regulations, and policies
- Provide guidance and support to Appeals specialists, Project Managers, and QA Managers
- Conduct research using online federal regulations and related resources for accurate decision-making
- Ensure compliance with detailed instructions during the processing and issuance of decisions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Medicare appeals, healthcare regulatory interpretation/application, or healthcare compliance
- Associate's degree or 60 or more credit hours towards a Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related discipline
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Paralegal Certificate with at least 3 years of experience, or a licensed attorney with one year of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations is preferred
- Legal writing experience is preferred
