What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform and coordinate pre-hearing responsibilities, including intake and scheduling of hearings
- Explain the arbitration process to litigants and prospective parties
- Prepare and maintain case files, records, and databases for the Lemon Law programs
- Observe hearings to ensure quality arbitration standards
- Assist with maintaining volunteer participation logs and respond to telephone inquiries for the Lemon Law program
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and conflict resolution
- Valid NYS Driver’s license and access to a vehicle for commuting and travel
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database software
- Experience in hosting virtual sessions and excellent communication and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in social services or legal field is a plus
- Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant phone manner
