EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated part time Case Coordinator to join the Court Appointed Special Advocate Program.

      Salary: $20-22/ hour

      Schedule: Flexible schedule of 19 hours per week

      Location: Remote

      Reports to: Division Director

      What drives the core purpose of this job:

      The Case Coordinator is responsible for case management of children in the child welfare system, based on judicial assignment of cases. The Case Coordinator also assists the Division Director in coordinating and monitoring all aspects of program’s activities.

      What are the key responsibilities:

      1. Work closely with judges, attorneys, law guardians and Drug Court Team (for Drug Court CASA Case Coordinator), on behalf of children in the child welfare system.
      2. Assist with the recruitment, interviews, selection, training and supervision of CASA volunteers.
      3. Match cases with available advocates based upon individual case history
      4. Collect and evaluate data on assigned cases for the court.
      5. Accept cases as assigned through Court and conduct necessary interviews for case completion.
      6. Maintain case files.
      7. Prepare and submit statistical reports for EAC NETWORK Administration and funding sources.
      8. with cases assigned to volunteers.
      9. Conduct home visits and assess and monitor home environment of children.
      10. Work with caseworkers and agencies to achieve permanency for children.
      11. Participates in the Supervisor’s staff meetings, assuring accountability and quality and provides input about program policy and compliance with National CASA standards.
      12. Perform required administrative work.

      What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

      1. High School diploma or educational equivalent required, degree preferred.
      2. Minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of administrative procedures required.
      3. Access to vehicle and driver's license.
      4. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
      5. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
