- Responsible for dealing with large volume of receipts from different revenue streams and large sums of invoices.
- Responsible for the accurate preparation of the Cash Applications and Deposits to the Bank, critical to the whole process is the accurate coding of cash receipts.
- Follows NAV CANADA policies and procedures governing the receipt of cheque payments, wire transfers, EDI, EFT, lockbox and credit card payments and TD Bank Lockbox Transmission File for posting to Workday.
- Assists the Accounts Receivable staff in dealing with customer inquiries.
- Assists internal departments with posting of ad hoc payments and payment related discrepancies
- Previous experience with data entry processing of financial transactions
- Experience with working in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented financial environment.
- Experience with Workday Financial System is an asset.
- Completion of Post-secondary school education in Accounting or in a relevant field of study is considered an asset or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of Workday Financial System.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures under International Financial Reporting Standards would be considered an asset.
- Possess speed and accuracy with respect to data entry.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle large dollar amounts and volumes.
- Ability to work as a team member and foster positive work ethics.
- Ability to co-ordinate several different work types.
- Ability to work in a production-oriented environment.
- Ability to set priorities, to adapt to changing priorities and multi task in a changing environment.
