As a Casual Tour Guide you will be part of a team responsible for delivering an all-encompassing experiential, interactive tour of the Etihad Stadium and the City Football Academy. Tours will be delivered to a wide audience from all over the world and it is the role of the tour guide to deliver a first-class Manchester City experience

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the history and heritage of Manchester City Football Club, knowledge of English and European football and Manchester as a whole. They will be a flexible team player, have an engaging personality with exceptional story telling skills. You should have strong previous experience of working in a customer service environment, managing/controlling large groups and public speaking.

The shifts for these positions will be allocated at weekends, on match days and during school holidays. You must therefore be available to work at these times

Your Impact

1. To be a brand ambassador for Manchester City by conducting engaging tours of the Stadium and CFA to a wide audience.
2. To play a front of house role, meeting and greeting guests, taking and selling photos.
3. To oversee the distribution of the media guides
4. To effectively operate all the Tours show technology to deliver a first class guest experience
5. Sales -To upsell other tour products as and when appropriate.
6. To drive the Tours buggies both for the CFA Tours and on matchdays as part of the disabled supporters buggy service
7. To adhere to all Manchester City Operational and Health Safety and Security procedures

Essential

• Experience of presenting to groups.
• Experience of managing/controlling large groups. Experience of working with children.
• Experience of working within a customer focussed environment.
• Excellent story telling skills and passionate about football.
• Ability to connect and engage with a wide varied audience.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in approach to achieve desired outcomes.
• Pro-active and engaging style.
• Friendly and easy to get along with.
• Strong 'can do' approach.
• Excellent time management skills
• Good knowledge of the Premier League and Manchester City

Desirable

• Acting Experience Ability to speak a second language. Customer Service qualification.
• Experience of having worked within a Visitor Attraction.
• Experience of using a till and bookings system
