Job Description
- Req#: R7140
- Responsible for handling, managing, investigating, negotiating, settling and/or resolving injury claims with exposure valued less than $35,000.
- Handles mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases involving injury with unrepresented claimants.
- Manage an inventory of claims within specified state compliance guidelines.
- Arrange property damage repair, rental and towing.
- May handle 1st party Medical payment and Personal Injury Protection (PIP).
- Manage communications in writing, by telephone and by electronic means (e.g., e-mail).
- May assist in catastrophe related activities including handling simple homeowner losses.
- Paid training consists of a 10-week virtual training that is a combination of classroom and on-the-job training.
- Starts on Monday, June 9th, 2025.
- BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Strong decision making ability.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to successfully complete training courses pertinent to job duties.
- Developing understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Developing understanding of AAA claims policies and procedures preferred.
- Ability to travel on rare occasions.
- Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.
- Prior injury experience strongly preferred.'
- 2-3 years of claims experience
- Bilingual Spanish a plus!
- 4 year degree preferred.

Your Role:
As a Casualty Specialist, Generalist, you will be assigned as the owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified. You will handle unrepresented first and third-party cases appropriate for prompt resolution with independent settlement limit of up to $12,500, claims in multiple states including licensed states and statutory states, and low complexity Homeowner liability property damage claims. When necessary, you may also own claims of low complexity when supporting catastrophes and handle first party non-liability-based injury claim (Medical Payment and PIP).

The national average salary range for this position is $62,460 - $69,400. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $56,250 - $83,300. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
