      Job summary

      The Catering Department at St David's Hospital are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant. The available contract is 1 x 15 hour post

      Working hours are on a four week rota basis - Monday to Sunday between 4 pm - 7 pm to include Bank Holidays as and when required for which additional payment will be made. There is also an opportunity for extra hours as and when required.

      They will join a small team of individuals within the department in providing an effective and efficient cleaning and catering service. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the team in ensuring that the food is prepared, delivered and the department is cleaned to the highest standard.

      Main duties of the job

      Duties will be varied covering both patient and staff feeding. The post holder will be supported and trained on how to provide a high level of service.

      - Deep cleaning within the Kitchen area and cleaning of equipment used during the course of the day.

      - Accepting deliveries into the kitchen and recording temperatures and putting away in allocated holding areas.

      The successful individual will receive uniform and full training.

      Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
