Job summary
To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering catering services to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with the Health Board Food Safety policy and all related and relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery, supporting, team working practices and the Facilities Unit commitment to EFQMS; and helping to maintain open and effective communications.
The post holder will work either as part of the ward based catering team or as part of the dining room/coffee shop staff and will be responsible for food preparation or regeneration, meal service and cleaning of all catering areas.
The post holder will be required to comply with pre-determined policies and procedures which will ensure compliance with legislative procedures.
In addition the post holder must be able to follow work schedules competently without supervision (although supervisory support is readily available).
The post holder must be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
The post holder must demonstrate compliance with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the catering service such as Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies and procedures, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
Main duties of the job
We have available the following: 2 x 21 hours post working 7am to 13.30pm & 2 x 21 hours posts working 12.30pm to 19.00pm as Catering assistants required to support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering beverage services to patients while supporting the Ward Based Catering Assistants, staff and visitors in accordance with the Health Board Food Safety policy and all related and relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery, supporting, team working practices and the Facilities Unit commitment to EFQMS; and helping to maintain open and effective communications.
The post holder will work either as part of the ward based catering team or as part of the Main Kitchen catering team and will be responsible for food preparation or regeneration, meal service and cleaning of all catering areas.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
