What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review records for coding errors and correct diagnostic and procedural codes in the billing system
- Identify and communicate payer and/or system trends to management
- Manage and correct denied claims for coding issues to facilitate payment and resolution
- Analyze, investigate, and follow up on denied claims, managing all assigned denial work files
- Ensure all coding corrections accurately reflect the services provided and adhere to all coding policies and procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of three (3) years of prior experience in medical coding and/or billing for physician office services
- Proficiency in assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers
- Ability to read and comprehend an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in a relevant field
- Five (5) years of work experience in medical billing and coding for physician office services
