      Job Title: Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician

      Job Description

      We are seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in the EST Timezone. This role involves reviewing Prior Authorizations for coverage determination for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. You will be responsible for approving or denying requests and sending them to Pharmacists for final review. This position involves minimal phone work, primarily outbound calls.

      Responsibilities

      • Track coverage determination requests.
      • Obtain verbal authorizations.
      • Approve requests based on criteria.
      • Enter decisions into the PBM system.
      • Notify providers and members of decisions.
      • Respond to client inquiries.
      • Refer requests for specialty drugs.
      • Contact providers for additional information.
      • Notify stakeholders of decision outcomes.
      • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls if needed.

      Essential Skills

      • High School diploma or GED.
      • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation.
      • Strong computer skills.
      • Experience with Prior Authorization processes.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
      • Data entry skills.
      • Customer service experience.
      • Registered Pharmacy Technician.
      • Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB, NHA).

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings.
      • Experience with prescription benefits management (PBM).
      • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid insurance.

      Work Environment

      This is a remote position requiring a strong Wi-Fi connection and a dedicated office space with a closed door. You will work in a professional environment using multiple screens and systems. The shift requires availability Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends and some holidays. Training will be conducted from 10am-6:30pm EST. After training, regular shifts will be assigned and communicated three months in advance. Equipment, including a computer, monitor, and headset, will be provided.       Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
