What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Read and interpret health record documentation to identify diagnoses and procedures affecting outpatient encounters
- Assess adequacy of health record documentation to ensure support for assigned codes
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical terminology to assign accurate codes
- Maintain understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems
- Organize work to ensure timely review and prioritization of assigned work queues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems
- One of the following certifications: CCA, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Ability to perform pre-employment screening requirements including a criminal background check

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management
- Two (2) years of coding experience in a healthcare setting
