      Cheese Training Facilitator

      The Opportunity

      This role provides training support to cheese operations in the form of interviewing and testing new hires and transfers, facilitating new hire orientation, and certification of employees. This role will assist in identifying and implementing process optimization projects and will be responsible for writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures while additionally providing support for plant management and human resources. This permanent position will report to the Cheese Plant Manager and duties include but are not limited to the following;

      • Responsible for initial interviews and testing (if required) of potential candidates.
      • Oversee new hire orientation, including informing them of safety and quality regulations.
      • Develop training and train new and recently promoted employees in a variety of areas as necessary, including leadership training.
      • Implements standard operational and working practices.
      • Assist with employee audits and performance evaluations.
      • Maintain documentation of employee certifications and all information necessary for orientation, SOPs, etc.
      • Sustain the daily review and communication process as a means to drive engagement and involvement of all plant employees.
      • Sustain inventories, ensuring full accuracy in the process and assist with budgetary reports, analyze expenditure, and track budgets.

      The Skills you will bring to the team

      • Bachelor’s degree or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Cheese manufacturing experience preferred.
      • Provide leadership to others through examples and sharing of knowledge/skill.
      • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others
      • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
      • Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from leaders, clients, customers and potential candidates.
      • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
      • Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, recording keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
