Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ten years of experience in direction and management of an organization. Experience must include five or more years’ experience in fundraising, community outreach and/or development of educational, cultural, and policy-oriented programs.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to creatively design and implement new programs.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to accomplish objectives through the development and utilization of human resources.
Twelve years’ experience in direction and management of a foundation.
Ten years of experience in government, and/or public service.
Experience with fundraising and donor relations.
Fundraises to maintain the George & Barbara Bush Foundation endowment and operational expenses.
Maintains close contacts and works directly with Texas A&M leadership and officials to maintain the Bush Foundation and its programs.
Provides strategic planning for the various components of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation and executes planned activities.
Creates and maintains various educational, cultural, and policy-oriented programs through the Bush Foundation.
Maintains community outreach to keep the George & Barbara Bush Foundation an integral part of Bryan/College Station.
Provides financial and operational support, as directed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, to the George Bush School of Government & Public Service, and the Presidential Library & Museum.

The George & Barbara Bush Foundation strives to preserve the historic legacies of President and Mrs. Bush primarily by supporting and promoting education and service-oriented programs at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum and The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. What we want
The Chief Executive Officer, George & Barbara Bush Foundation fundraises to maintain the George & Barbara Bush Foundation endowment and to cover operational expenses. Provides strategic planning for the George & Barbara Bush Foundation and executes planned educational, cultural and policy activities consistent with the mission of the Foundation and the Bush Presidential Center at Texas A&M. Maintains community outreach to keep the George & Barbara Bush Foundation an integral part of the Bryan/College Station area. Provides financial and operational support, as directed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, to the George Bush School of Government & Public Service and the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. Manages the relationship with Texas A&M University under the various agreements between the University and the Foundation.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Position Details: Must be able to work outside of normal business hours including weekends and holidays as required. Must be able to travel within and outside of the State of Texas on a regular basis as well as able to move or live in Bryan/College Station, TX.
