- Plans and directs all aspects of our branding and marketing functions, practices, strategies, and projects.
- Identifies changes in the competitive environment and evaluates, adjusts, or redrafts our plans and brand philosophy accordingly.
- Develops comprehensive marketing strategies and execution plans that align with organizational strategic priorities
- Manages a large, complex budget and determines tradeoffs across investment opportunities while ensuring money is spent wisely and within plan in collaboration with the finance team. Determines and manages analysis of marketing ROI.
- Provides strategic leadership for brand architecture, positioning, and portfolio management, leveraging customer research and business strategy in collaboration with the data insights team.
- Leads innovation and creativity of the marketing department; manages, mentors, and grows a successful brand and marketing organization.
- Develops and manages measures of success that reflect the goals of a complex organization and multiple brands.
- Leverages ongoing consumer research, product research and marketplace segmentation to inform innovations and future business decisions.
- Drives internal alignment with the Sales team to develop and execute multi-channel, multi-audience programs for brand portfolio including leading shopper marketing efforts.
- Participates as key member of the executive leadership team in the development, implementation, and growth of the business strategy and long-term goals, including culture and coworker engagement.

- Proven outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong public speaking skills; can win over groups of people to build support for recommendations
- Strategic consumer-led approach with developed understanding of long-term brand building while simultaneously driving immediate revenue with activities that have a strong ROI
- Creative mindset and passion to unlock creative breakthroughs with others
- Managing large teams across physical locations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or another related field
- Developed knowledge of brand development, sales management, production and distribution management, and customer experience.
- 10+ years successful record of accomplishment leading and growing a brand portfolio and marketing team
- Previous experience as a VP or Director of a high-profile lifestyle brand or growth company
- Preferably has been a part of a breakthrough brand in a crowded marketplace or in creating a disruptive brand
- Proven ability to turn data into insights, identify problems and develop working solutions
- Previous experience working in a lean, entrepreneurial organization with fewer resources than big companies
- Previous experience “owning” the revenue line for a lifestyle brand company
Chief Marketing Officer
The Chief Marketing Officer is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organization’s brand and marketing strategies and initiatives. The role is a leader in driving growth (revenue) by increasing sales through brand and marketing initiatives, including customer experience. This role reports to the CEO leads over 150 coworkers across brand strategy, media, PR, design, digital, field marketing, innovation, licensing, e-commerce, and hospitality.

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Starting Annual Salary: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 commensurate with experience
