      Job summary

      Are you a visionary nurse leader committed to the delivery of digital innovation and transformation of services?

      Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an inspirational and innovative digital clinician and leader to be their new Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO).

      The CNIO will provide clinical nurse leadership to provide a bridge between clinical and digital strategies and operational practices; acting as a translator of digital need to influence, lead and enable change, focusing on quality improvements through digital transformation.

      The post-holder will drive and lead on digital innovation and champion the development of a productive and fit for the future nursing and AHP information and data culture that is clinically led, digitally enabled and operationally delivered.

      As an experienced clinician, the CNIO will be in a unique position to truly understand the value a particular technology can bring to the advancement of nursing and allied health professionals practice and quality of care at the Trust and to the ICS community at large.

      This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK.

      This post is currently banded at Band 8a A4C and is subject to local job evaluation.

      Main duties of the job

      The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) is a patient centred credible nurse leader providing strategic leadership to ensure successful delivery of the Trust's Digital Strategy to ensure:

      o A better service-user/patient experience

      o Digital empowerment of patients and staff

      o Increased staff engagement and satisfaction with digital

      Through providing a bridge between clinical and digital strategies to ensure clinical delivery optimises the use of digital technology. The CNIO is the main point of liaison for nursing and allied health professionals:

      o leading the delivery of the strategic vision for how technology will enhance practices, clinical quality and patient safety

      o promoting the effective use of data for nursing outcomes, knowledge and technology to support quality improvements

      o providing expert credible clinical advice and guidance to support the Trust's developments in the field of digital and technology

      o engaging with key stakeholders to ensure patient and clinical involvement

      o undertaking a degree of clinical activity to ensure credibility and triangulation of what is required operationally

      The CNIO is responsible for the clinical safety of systems and processes, contributes to Digital Technology Assessment Criteria assessments, and has awareness of Information Security principles and of Cyber Security, specifically the importance of human factors.
