Build a network of contents that enable you to deliver exclusive news stories to our B2B audience of professionals.
Provide coaching and guidance to other reporters within the team to help them develop their skills.
Attend and report on key industry events, both in London and internationally.
Use your excellent networking and relationship-building skills to proactively engage with the reinsurance market, build your book of contacts and deliver great stories to our professional audience.
Be a collaborative team-player who will work well with others across the organisation.
Demonstrable experience in a busy news environment.
Previous experience of covering insurance and financial services is preferred but not essential. If you have prior experience in a financial news or insurance-led setting, please highlight this within our cover letter.
An interest in the insurance and re-insurance industry, and the desire to both learn more about how insurance affects global economies and grow your book of contacts within the industry.
A constant drive to uncover exclusive news ahead of our competitors.
Great communication and listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels both within and external to Thomson Reuters.

We're looking for a London-based Chief Reporter to join Reuters, and deliver key news breaking across the UK and Europe to our global audience of insurance and reinsurance professionals
In this vital role, you'll be out and about within the London market – the leading global insurance specialty hub – sourcing exclusive news and scoops through the book of contacts you will build from within the role. You'll set the pace for our reporting team, as well as the standard for delivering exclusive content and helping guide junior colleagues on our London news desk.About the Role
