      About the job:

      You will join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) as Chief Technician (Application Support) within The Command and Control Centre (C2). C2 Centre is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for Joint/Maritime/Land C2 services (including: subject matter expertise; research and development; software engineering; acquisition; operations and maintenance; and, disposal) in the following technical service areas: Land; Maritime; Joint; Special Operations, Logistics, Medical, Military Engineering and Nuclear Command and Control, Military Messaging, Situational Awareness, Operations Planning and Collective Training and Exercise Support.

      We are recruiting for 3 new Chief Technician (Application Support) positions: 2 positions in Mons, Belgium and 1 position in The Hague, Netherlands.

      These are vital roles in ensuring that the user facing ICT systems function seamlessly, enabling effective communication, data management, digital operations and overall productivity across the organization.

      We are seeking talented and knowledgeable Chief Technicians (Application Support) to be responsible for overseeing the implementation, and maintenance of an organization's information and communication technology systems. They handle tasks related to configuring hardware and software, managing computers and networks devices, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring data security and system reliability, and provide technical support to end-users. They collaborate with various departments to understand their technology needs and optimize the organization's ICT infrastructure to support business operations efficiently. Their role is vital in ensuring that the user facing ICT systems function seamlessly, enabling effective communication, data management, digital operations and overall productivity across the organization.

      **Currently these positions are planned to be available to commence employment from January 2025.

      About you:

      The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role includes:

      • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 4 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT end systems within a large organization.
      • OR a secondary educational qualification with 6 years post-related experience.
      • Good understanding of ICT systems and the ability to work independently to solve problems.
      • Good knowledge of and experience in ITIL framework;
      • Proficiency in advanced technical support practices, including deep troubleshooting and issue resolution across various IT systems and applications.

      Please note the basic salary for both locations:

      Mons, Belgium: 5,594.42 Euro per month

      The Hague, Netherlands: 6,322.51 Euro per month
