Job Description

- Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production
- Identify, report and act on all hazards and comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Management System
- Perform first response breakdown maintenance tasks as required
- Operate stockpile dozers to manage the product coal stockpile, reclaim operations and train loading in line with schedules and blend parameters
- Maintain CHPP equipment as requested during scheduled maintenance periods
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP and Train Loadout
- Candidate must have an electrical trade qualification
- Demonstrated experience in operations or maintenance in CHPP or mining environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge and information
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively resolve conflicts with fellow team members
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
- Able to take accountability for their own work and development
Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets, with an extension of an additional pit at Moorvale South, adding to our coal production.

We are seeking and dedicated CHPP Operator to join and support our Coppabella mine’s CHPP department.
Reporting directly to the CHPP Superintendent, you will play an integral role in supporting all areas of the Coal Preparation Plant in line with production schedules whilst working within a small crew..

This position is offered on a 7 Days On and 7 Days Off roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Employees living residentially may have access to housing allowance and may have the ability to salary sacrifice rental payments
