      To enable the ongoing energy transition with increased electrification and reduced emissions Vattenfall is making large investments in our heating plants. Now we are looking for you who want to join us on this journey.

      Vattenfall Heat Projects develops and implements all of Vattenfall's new-build heating plant projects in conventional and new technologies.

      The Engineering Department consists of an international team of highly qualified engineers from different disciplines and is responsible for the development and execution of the technical project stream.

      A selected project team of engineers manages the development and execution processes and coordinates the installation, commissioning and hand-over of the new plants to the future operator in consultation with the stakeholders.

      In addition, the engineering department supports the projects with schedule preparation, investment cost estimation, quality management and quality standards.

      In order to support the development and implementation of our technical activities in an extensive project portfolio, we are looking for the following team member for Vattenfall.

      What will you do?

      As a Civil Engineer, your tasks are varied and crucial to the success of a project. Here are the key responsibilities:

      • Oversee all civil-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, including development, establishment, and realization phases.
      • Coordinate civil engineering activities and manage interfaces with other disciplines.
      • Lead the preparation of civil engineering deliverables and contribute to the preparation/review of key project documents and permits.
      • Manage site preparation, demolition, and soil decontamination, ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards.
      • Support the procurement process by preparing ITT parts, evaluating bids, and participating in negotiations.
      • Report to the Engineering Manager and Line Manager Discipline Engineering, while steering external engineering partners and managing internal and external stakeholders.

      Qualifications


      Who are you? As our ideal candidate for the position you will bring the following qualifications:

      • Relevant University degree in civil engineering or architecture.
      • Proficiency in both Dutch and English language.
      • Over 5 years of professional experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of industrial buildings.
      • Sound knowledge of civil engineering, permitting, and realization of power and heat generation plants, process engineering plants, and industrial buildings, including expertise in related workstreams such as structural engineering, fire protection, noise control, HVAC, and soil investigation.
      • Possesses leadership qualities, analytical skills, and a self-propelling attitude with a strong focus on health, safety, and safety in design.
