- Most days will be spent in the office preparing engineering designs including DMS/VMS, CSS, CCTV, RWIS, RMS, VDS, TTS, ATMS, ASCT, CTSS, traffic signals, traffic control devices, pavement markings, lighting, fiber-optic, wireless, and Ethernet communications, and security systems.
- On some days, you will make field visits to project sites to review, investigate, and document existing infrastructure conditions.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- 3 - 5+ years of progressive traffic and ITS design experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and be on-track to obtain a PE License within two years
- Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to long term success in this role
- Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people, multitask, and prioritize competing project obligations
- Strong organizational skills; be determined and bright
- Ability to quickly get up to speed on our policy, procedures and relevant software while acquiring an understanding of the company’s service offerings, and the client’s standards and procedures relevant to your projects
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office), with the ability to utilize CAD software including AutoCAD and MicroStation and be knowledgeable in Traffic Engineering software such as HCS, Synchro, TruTraffic, VISSIM, SIDRA, TransCAD

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate II – Traffic and ITS to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing engineering design efforts and analysis on projects involving traffic signals and intelligent transportation systems. They will leverage their engineering knowledge and skills to prepare engineering plans, reports, technical specifications, perform highway capacity analysis and prepare construction estimates and schedules.

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
