With the claims internship, you will work with a mentor to learn what claims are and how they play a vital role in the company’s success, as well as how claims are handled. This internship opportunity will be available in our Stevens Point, WI, El Paso, TX, and Davenport, IA offices

What You’ll Do

Our Claims internship offers opportunities to:

• Assist current claims representatives with follow up phone calls on open claims

• Gain exposure to how claims are handled legally in a court of law

• Learn about claims negotiations

• Support customers with empathy and understanding

• Verify coverage plans of current customers

• Investigate losses by gathering relevant information

• Document your actions and information gathered about claims

• This internship opportunity will be available in our Stevens Point, WI, El Paso, TX, and Davenport, IA offices

What it Takes

To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, or a related field

• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00

• Expected graduation in Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025

• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
