What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish proof of loss by studying documentation submitted and gathering additional information
- Resolve claims by approving or denying documentation and calculating benefits due
- Ensure legal compliance and follow guidelines, company policies, and insurance regulations
- Assign field appraisers to assist with investigations
- Efficiently manage time, multitask, and demonstrate organizational skills to handle a high volume of claims
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 1 or more years of experience in Auto Insurance as a Claims Adjuster
- Valid State Adjuster License or ability to attain within 90 days of start date
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult customers
- Effective negotiating skills
- Ability to gather and analyze information to evaluate results and choose the best solution to the problem
- Occasional weekend work may be required
