      Under direct supervision of the Missing Persons Sergeant, the incumbent will assist investigators with contacting complainants, answering phones, managing cases for follow-up investigation, generating supplements, managing spreadsheets and databases, and organizing files.

      Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Prepare correspondence and reports and assist in processing documents promptly as required.
      • Effectively communicate, answer telephone calls, take messages, and concisely provide information.
      • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, and keep organized and accurate records.
      • Handle sensitive information with discretion and exercise confidentiality.
      • Work cooperatively with others.
      • Manage various databases.
      • Perform additional duties as instructed by the supervisor.

      • High School Diploma or equivalency
      • One (1) year of clerical/administrative experience in law enforcement, record management, dispatch, or a closely related field.
      • Pass the Pre-employment HCSO Clerical Skills Test with a minimum overall score of 75% and score a typing speed of 35 W.P.M with 85% accuracy
      • Must have a good attendance record.
      • Present a professional image as a representative of the HCSO.
      • Proficient in using standard office software programs such as MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
      • Demonstrate exceptional language skills so that written and oral communications can be presented with proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clear understanding.
      • Available to work overtime and/or varying duty hours as deemed necessary; an excellent attendance record.
      • Bilingual - Spanish
      • Associates Degree
      • Knowledge of RMS, and JWEB

      • 40 hours per week - Various shifts based on the position offered
