- Experience in a high-volume laboratory, doing clinical laboratory testing
- Experience with current automation used in the clinical laboratory
- Experience using laboratory information systems and up-to-date computer skills
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
Job Summary
The Clinical Lab Scientist will perform test procedures in chemistry, blood gas, routine hematology, special hematology, routine coagulation, special coagulation, bone marrow/special stain section, and urinalysis. Must be able to work in a high volume, automated setting. Transcribes and reports test results, and operates laboratory equipment as needed. Follows established quality control procedures and participates in all associated tasks in the section. The test menu will vary depending on the shift and site.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $82.41 - $82.41 (Hourly Rate).
