- Serves as the Clinical Program Administrator.
- Speaks for the Chief of Programs, responding to inquiries from law enforcement agencies, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Conducts highly confidential and sensitive studies and investigations related to the agency clinical operations and security related to program delivery.
- Reviews legislation that may have an impact on delivery of clinical programming, risk assessment processes and awarding of sentencing credit. Advises management staff of legislative impact and changes that will have to be implemented in relation to processes in clinical services.
- Attends executive staff meetings and provides administrative guidance and direction on clinical operations and security issues.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in law enforcement, criminology, penology, psychology, social worker, or a related field.
- Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a law enforcement public or private organization, a correctional facility, or related field.
- Prefers at least five (5) years of supervisory work in a correctional setting related to clinical programming.
- Prefers at least five (5) years of professional experience designing, training and implementing clinical programming in a correctional setting.
- Prefers at least five (5) years of professional experience writing and implementing policy and procedures in clinical programming in a correctional setting.
- Prefers at least three (3) years of experience in implementing large scale projects and policy changes based on legislative changes.
- Prefers at least three (3) years of experience evaluating evidenced-based programs and providing detailed reports and findings to management.
- Prefers at least two (2) years’ experience in risk assessments and case planning in a correctional setting.
- Requires the ability to travel statewide.
- Requires the ability to carry a state issued cell phone.
- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.

The Clinical Program Administrator will be responsible for supervision of clinical services and clinical programming statewide across all Illinois Department of Correction’s facilities. This position will be responsible for designing new clinical programming that is evidence based and providing guidance and training to clinical staff in delivery and fidelity monitoring. This position will require a high level of organization and experience in writing and implementing policies and procedures related to large scale initiatives in the clinical programming area.
