MDaudit Enterprise, our flagship revenue integrity software platform, enables organizations to reduce compliance risk, risk monitoring, and built-in analytics and benchmarking capabilities while maximizing revenue - all in a single, integrated cloud-based platform. We are currently seeking a Clinical Content Specialist to join our team. We are a completely remote company!
The Clinical Content Specialist is responsible for the definition and maintenance of clinical coding related content and for partnering with Product Management and Development teams to integrate that content into MDaudit to make it useful for our end users. This position requires consistent review and analysis of current Medicare medical policies and performing the research necessary to identify new and update existing components within the MDaudit Enterprise platform.
The Clinical Content Specialist will interact and collaborate closely with Product Management Engineering and Customer Success teams , to successfully execute initiatives in alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Recognizes clinical questions or discordant work group opinions on the best evidence-based practice. Identifies which data elements are needed to answer the question and/or support the resolution of the conflict.
- Design processes and quality control programs around the creation and maintenance of clinical content, including quarterly code update processes to ensure all content is up to date and appropriately documented.
- Assist technical writer with understanding content changes to aid in the development of release notes
- Collects, synthesizes and validates interpretations of evidence based content from clinical practice guidelines, federal websites and related industry articles.
- Provide content support to MDaudit customers.
- Support the Product Management team with other product initiatives, including gathering requirements, QA, and platform enhancements.
- Delivers timely, high quality work and a strong work ethic.
- Maintains an up-to-date web presence and logical indexing (e.g., use of search terms)
- Maintains internal departmental documents that describe the guiding principles and workflows surrounding clinical tool development (e.g., resource guides, templates).
- Stays current with coding and billing regulations (Medicare/Medicaid) of healthcare providers.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES - Understanding of clinical/medical terminology and coding systems (i.e. ICD10, HCPCS/CPT, DRG, LCD/NCDs, RVUs, HCCs, APGs).
- Effective time management, risk identification and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Clear and concise communication both written and oral.
- Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with our customers and within the organization.
- Process improvement/change facilitator in support of corporate goals and ideals.
- Results and detail oriented, self motivated and able to prioritize work; makes decisions within the scope of their responsibilities while requiring minimal guidance or oversight from superiors.
- Experience working with healthcare software (preferably in a SaaS environment) is preferred?
- Must be MS Office proficient?
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE and Other Requirements
- Medical Coding Certified - current certification in one or more of the following certifications: CPC®, COC™, CIC™
- Experience working with healthcare claims billing and processing, medical coding with focus on payer reimbursement and/or risk adjustment
- Undergraduate degree desired
