      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes for inpatient medical records
      - Collaborate with providers and clinical documentation specialists to ensure accurate coding and documentation
      - Validate and revise codes assigned by computer-assisted coding software, ensuring compliance with coding regulations
      - Analyze clinical documentation to support accurate coding and identify trends for educational purposes
      - Maintain coding quality and productivity standards of ? 95% while adhering to departmental policies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 5 years of coding experience in an inpatient hospital setting, specifically with ICD-10-CM/PCS
      - Proficient in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and disease processes
      - Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
      - Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) is highly desired
      - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or Health Information Management
      - Experience with computer-assisted coding and electronic medical record (EMR) software applications
      - Strong organizational and analytical skills with a commitment to detail and accuracy
      - Experience in mentoring and providing educational feedback to colleagues and providers
      - Ability to work independently while staying focused on assigned tasks
