What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and ensure accurate assignment and sequencing of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-PCS procedure codes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize documentation accuracy
- Validate and revise codes assigned by computer-assisted coding software based on expert knowledge and provider documentation
- Communicate discrepancies and documentation issues to appropriate departments
- Maintain coding quality and productivity standards of ? 95%

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or Health Information Management
- Minimum 5 years of coding experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS medical coding
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) is highly desired
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with computer-assisted coding (CAC)
