What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Order and prepare patient samples, including blood and other body fluids, for laboratory testing
- Accurately label, accession, and process patient specimens according to established procedures
- Communicate specimen collection instructions and procedures to patients and clinical staff with empathy
- Operate basic laboratory equipment and multiple computer systems for test ordering
- Document errors and take appropriate actions to solve problems affecting testing outcomes

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS)/RQI for healthcare providers (applicable where phlebotomy is performed)
- High School diploma or GED in compliance with CLIA regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under stressful situations
- Basic computer skills and flexibility to work a variety of shifts

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching concepts to others
- Previous clinical lab or pathology experience
