      Job summary

      Part time Band 7 Clinical Lead Dietitian SpCAMHS Eating Disorders - ARFID Specialist. 0.45wte - 17hours/week.

      We are seeking a highly skilled, and experienced dietitian to join our newly developing ARFID multi-disciplinary team, establishing and delivering services to children, young people and their families. You will be part of both the Health Board's SpCAMHS and Paediatric Dietetic team, and work in collaboration with Neurodevelopmental services and wider Paediatric services.

      Applicants will have significant experience of working with people with eating disorders including ARFID, the ability to act as a clinical dietetic expert in ARFID, demonstrate strong clinical leadership skills, and be able to work collaboratively in order to establish and deliver high quality, prudent ARFID services.

      You will be joining a dynamic nutrition and dietetic service, benefitting from strong professional support with a focus on outcome based service delivery.

      This post could be delivered remotely with a requirement for periodic face to face presence negotiable. Informal enquiries and visits very welcome.

      Main duties of the job

      Provide HB wide clinical leadership in the delivery of the Nutrition & Dietetic service for SpCAMHS Eating Disorders - ARFID by:

      Developing and maintaining clinical standards in line with best practice, developing a competency based framework for practitioners delivering care.

      Managing highly complex and specialist caseload independently, working as an autonomous practitioner to plan & carry out assessment and treatment, demonstrating autonomous clinical judgments where expert opinion differs due to an ambiguous or absent evidence base.

      Enabling the delegated nutrition and dietetic team to manage complex caseloads effectively and efficiently facilitating team working and consistent standards of best practice.

      Acting as the clinical lead for nutrition and dietetics in relation to the area of expertise and taking a lead role in the development and implementation of policy, guidelines, protocol, pathways, standards and services (local and national).

      Participating in the planning, development and evaluation of dietetic services to areas of service delivery, liaising closely with the other clinical/network leads.

      Providing expert advice to contribute to the development of evidence based SpCAMHS eating disorder ARFID services and highlights impact of changes / need for service change in line with same.

      Working collaboratively to ensure evidence based pro-active and seamless dietetic services across the HB.
