      A Day in the Life

      This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Specialist based in Victoria (VIC) to be an integral member of our Structural Heart team at Medtronic.

      The Structural Heart operating unit offers minimally invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart valves. We focus on the transcatheter replacement of the four heart valves—Aortic Heart Valve, pulmonic, mitral, and tricuspid.

      In this role, you will be working closely with the team to achieve sales revenue and market share targets by providing technical and clinical excellence to implanters and clinical stakeholders.

      Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

      • Work with Clinical Territory Managers (CTMs) to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide highest level clinical service and technical support

      • Support CTMs’ account sales strategies to drive sales and territory results through regular contact with key specialists and technical staff

      • Conducts on-site clinical education, training and / or consulting to specified customers

      • Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales/Clinical Support & Management Team

      • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution

      • Proactively meet with CTMs and other Clinical Specialists (CSs) in managing case coverage requirements for the state.

      • Support Territory Managers with inventory monitoring and control, including ensuring appropriate levels of inventory in each location & the expedited delivery of stock to customers as needed

      • Travel requirement: 25%

      Required Knowledge and Experience:

      • High School Diploma with minimum of 6 years relevant experience OR Associate Diploma with minimum of 4 years relevant experience

      • Preference is for a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or similar with minimum of 2 years relevant experience

      • Experience as a Clinical Specialist within Medical Devices or equivalent medical/clinical healthcare experience in nursing, radiography, cardiology, vascular

      • Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs / theatres / departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling, and key influencers

      • Good clinical and technical knowledge in Structural Heart is highly desirable

      • Strong ability to build and nurture strong clinical and business relationships with customers

      • Proactiveness and adaptability with the confident ability to navigate a changing environment

      • Is curious and understands the responsibility & commitment to continuous learning and willingness to learn and be coached

      • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

      • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software

      • Maintain a valid driver’s license

      • Willingness to travel locally, as well as interstate & internationally as required
